Rat Republic Docs
Everything you need to know about the Rat Republic Solana utility platform — tools, fees, safety, and how to get the most out of each feature.
What Is Rat Republic?
Rat Republic is a non-custodial suite of Solana tools built for the community. Every operation requires your direct signature through Phantom or Solflare — we never have custody of your assets.
Tools are designed to save time, recover locked SOL, and give you full control over your on-chain footprint. A small service fee per operation sustains the platform.

Scavenger
Close abandoned zero-balance token accounts and reclaim their locked SOL rent (~0.00204 SOL per account).
How It Works
On Solana, every SPL token account requires a rent deposit of approximately 0.00203928 SOL to exist. When you sell, transfer, or hold tokens that were rugged or abandoned, those empty accounts remain open — trapping your SOL indefinitely.
Scavenger identifies all zero-balance token accounts in your wallet and closes them in batches of up to 14 per transaction, returning the locked rent directly to you minus a small service fee.
How to Use
Fee Structure
| User Type | Fee |
|---|---|
| Referred user (10% discount) | 1.8% of recovered SOL |
| Guest / registered (not referred) | 2.0% of recovered SOL |
Save on fees: Register via a referral link to unlock the 1.8% rate — a 10% discount from the standard 2.0%. Registration alone (without being referred) does not reduce the fee.
Expert Mode
Toggle from NOOB to EXPERT mode using the button at the top of the Scavenger page. Expert mode unlocks additional tabs:
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| CLAIM | The standard empty account closer (available in both modes) |
| SCANNER | Preview your empty accounts without connecting a wallet |
| TOKENS Destructive | Burn tokens with remaining balance and reclaim rent |
| NFTs Destructive | Burn unwanted NFTs and reclaim all associated rent |
Safety
- Manual Approval — Every action requires your direct signature.
- Zero-Balance Only — The CLAIM tab only closes accounts with a balance of exactly 0. Accounts with any remaining token balance are never touched.
- Non-Custodial — No assets are transferred out of your control.
- Airdrop Eligibility — Closing empty accounts does not affect your eligibility for future airdrops. Airdrops target your primary wallet address.
Note: Closing accounts is permanent. However, a new token account is automatically created when someone sends that token to you again (costs ~0.00204 SOL to reopen).
Pro Tips
- Run Scavenger periodically after active trading to continuously recover rent.
- If an account holds even
0.000001of a token it won't appear in CLAIM — use the TOKENS tab in Expert Mode to burn it. - The SCANNER tab lets you check any wallet address without connecting — useful for helping friends or checking your cold wallet.
Airdrop
Send SOL or SPL tokens to multiple wallets in seconds. Supports manual address lists, token holder snapshots, and three distribution modes.
Tabs Overview
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| SPECIFIC | Send to a manually provided list of wallet addresses |
| SUPPLY BASED | Send to all holders of a token, filtered by balance range |
SPECIFIC Tab
Paste any number of Solana wallet addresses (one per line) and set an amount. The tool validates each address and batches transactions automatically — up to 19 SOL recipients or 7 token recipients per on-chain transaction.
Use cases: Paying contest winners, compensating contributors, team payouts, NFT holder rewards, or any custom recipient list.
SUPPLY BASED Tab
Enter a token mint address to fetch a live holder snapshot. Filter by minimum and maximum holdings to target the exact tier of holders you want to reward.
SOL vs Tokens
- SOL sub-tab — Distribute native SOL to the filtered holder list
- TOKENS sub-tab — Distribute SPL tokens from your wallet. The tool auto-creates Associated Token Accounts for recipients who don't have one yet (costs ~0.00204 SOL rent per new ATA)
Distribution Modes
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Even Split | Total amount divided equally among all qualifying wallets |
| Proportional | Each wallet receives an amount proportional to their token holdings relative to the filtered group |
| Custom | Fixed amount per wallet — total cost scales with recipient count |
Filtering Options
- Min Holdings — Exclude wallets below this balance threshold
- Max Holdings — Exclude wallets above this balance (useful to remove whales, LPs, or vesting contracts)
- Blocklist — Manually add addresses to exclude (LP wallets, vesting contracts, etc.)
- Self-Exclusion — Your connected wallet is automatically excluded from the recipient list
Fee Structure
| Operation | Fee |
|---|---|
| SOL batch (up to 19 recipients) | 0.008 SOL flat |
| Token batch (up to 7 recipients) | 0.008 SOL flat |
The fee is charged once per transaction batch. Sending SOL to 38 wallets = 2 batches = 0.016 SOL in fees, plus the transfer amounts.
Minimum SOL per wallet: Each recipient must receive at least ~0.00089 SOL (Solana's rent-exempt minimum). The tool will block the send and show a warning if the per-wallet amount falls below this threshold.
Preview before sending: Click the Preview button to review the full recipient list, per-wallet amounts, and estimated total cost before signing anything.
Vanity Address
Generate a custom Solana wallet address that starts or ends with any text of your choice — entirely in your browser, for free.
What Is a Vanity Address?
A vanity address is a standard Solana wallet where the public key begins or ends with a specific string you chose — for example, a wallet that starts with RATxxx.... The wallet is cryptographically identical to any other Solana wallet and fully functional.
The tool works by generating thousands of keypairs per second using a background Web Worker until one matches your pattern.
How to Use
0, O, I, or l characters.Security
Your private key never leaves your device. All generation runs locally in a browser Web Worker. Rat Republic never sees your private key, seed phrase, or any generated keypair.
- Zero network requests are made during key generation
- Store your private key in a password manager or hardware wallet immediately after generation
- Never share your private key with anyone or any website
- A vanity address has the same security properties as any other randomly generated Solana keypair
Performance
Longer patterns take exponentially more time to find:
| Pattern Length | Average Time |
|---|---|
| 1 character | Instant |
| 2 characters | A few seconds |
| 3 characters | Seconds to minutes |
| 4 characters | Minutes |
| 5+ characters | Hours or longer |
Speed depends on your CPU. The generator displays your current generation rate in real time. Desktop computers are significantly faster than mobile devices.
Fee
Vanity Address generation is FREE — no wallet connection required.
Token Burn
Permanently destroy unwanted SPL tokens (including Token 2022) and reclaim the rent deposit locked in the token account (~0.00204 SOL).
Expert Mode only. Token Burn is in the TOKENS tab of the Scavenger page. Enable Expert Mode at the top of the page to access it.
Why Burn Instead of Sending to a Burn Address?
Burning via a native Solana instruction is strictly better than sending tokens to a dead address like 1nc1nerator...:
- You get your SOL back — burning closes the token account and returns ~0.00204 SOL rent to you. Sending to an incinerator leaves that SOL locked in the dead account forever.
- Tokens are actually destroyed — the total supply decreases on-chain, visible on any explorer. Tokens at an incinerator address still technically exist and count toward supply.
- Cleaner wallet — the token account is fully closed, not just emptied. Your wallet shows fewer clutter accounts.
- Deflationary pressure — reducing circulating supply can positively affect a token's price and metrics.
Safety: Can Airdropped Tokens Drain You?
Burning a token account uses a standard native Solana instruction (BurnChecked + CloseAccount). This cannot execute any custom program logic — it's handled entirely by the SPL Token Program, not any token creator's contract.
What to watch for: Token drains happen through approval-based attacks — when you sign a transaction that grants a program delegation over your tokens. The Rat Republic Token Burn tool only uses native burn and close instructions and never requests any token delegation or approval.
How to Use
Fee Structure
| User Type | Fee |
|---|---|
| Referred user (10% discount) | 1.8% of recovered SOL |
| Guest / not referred | 2.0% of recovered SOL |
Burning is permanent and irreversible. Once burned, tokens cannot be recovered. Always double-check your selection — the tool shows the token name, symbol, and image before you confirm.
NFT Burn
Burn unwanted Metaplex NFTs and recover all associated rent — approximately 0.017 SOL per NFT.
Expert Mode only. NFT Burn is in the NFTs tab of the Scavenger page.
How Much SOL Do You Recover?
An NFT on Solana spans multiple on-chain accounts, each with its own rent deposit:
| Account | Approximate Rent |
|---|---|
| Token account (holds the NFT) | ~0.00204 SOL |
| Metaplex metadata account | ~0.012 SOL |
| Master Edition account | ~0.003 SOL |
| Total per NFT | ~0.017 SOL |
Burning closes all three accounts simultaneously using the Metaplex BurnNft instruction, returning the full amount to your wallet.
How to Use
Fee Structure
| User Type | Fee |
|---|---|
| Referred user (10% discount) | 1.8% of recovered SOL |
| Guest / not referred | 2.0% of recovered SOL |
NFT burning is permanent. The NFT artwork, metadata, and all on-chain data are destroyed. This cannot be undone.
Crowned Vermins
The Rat Republic leaderboard — a competitive ranking of the top SOL recoverers in the community.
How Rankings Work
Every registered user has a rank based on the cumulative SOL they've recovered using any Rat Republic tool. Rankings update in real time as transactions complete on-chain.
The top 5 users are featured on the Crowned Vermins leaderboard page with their username, avatar, and total SOL recovered.
Features
- Top 5 leaderboard — Live rankings with avatars and SOL amounts
- Archive — Historical snapshots of previous leaderboard periods
- FLEX IT — Generate and share a personalized rank card on X (Twitter)
- Your rank — Displayed in your Profile and the site header once you're registered
Why Compete?
Top-ranked users in the Rat Republic ecosystem may be featured, spotlighted in community announcements, or have priority access to new tools and events as they are announced.

PFP Generator
The built-in PFP Generator lets you create a custom Rat Republic avatar by layering traits (background, body, outfit, eyes, accessories). Download your creation and set it as your profile picture.
Creating an Account
Registration is free and only requires an email address and username. Once registered you get access to reduced fees, the leaderboard, referral tracking, and your profile page.
Referral Program
Earn passive SOL automatically every time a user you referred completes a transaction on Rat Republic.
How It Works
ratrepublic.fun/r/yourname.Fee Split
| Recipient | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Treasury | 1.3% | Of recovered SOL |
| Referrer (you) | 0.5% | Of recovered SOL |
| Referred user pays | 1.8% total | 10% discount from the 2.0% standard rate |
Referred users save money: Users who register through your link pay 1.8% instead of 2.0% — a 10% discount. Your 0.5% comes out of the treasury's share, so the referred user pays less and you earn a cut.
Tracking Earnings
Your cumulative referral SOL earned is shown on your Profile page under "Referral Earnings". Each payout is an on-chain transaction verifiable on Solscan.
FAQ
Answers to the most common questions.
Scavenger
Does closing empty accounts affect my airdrop eligibility?
No. Airdrops are distributed to your primary wallet address. Token sub-accounts are just storage containers — closing them has no effect on your eligibility for any project's airdrop.
Why is my claimable balance showing zero?
Scavenger's CLAIM tab only shows accounts with a balance of exactly 0. If an account holds even 0.000001 of a token it is considered active. Use the TOKENS tab in Expert Mode to burn those accounts.
Can I undo a closed account?
No, closing is permanent. However, if you need to receive that token again in the future, a new token account is automatically created when someone sends it to your wallet (at a cost of ~0.00204 SOL).
Is it safe to close airdropped token accounts?
The CLAIM tab only closes accounts with zero balance — it never touches tokens you hold. For token accounts with balance (including suspicious airdrops), the TOKENS tab lets you review and burn them with full confirmation. Native burn instructions cannot execute custom contract code.
Vanity Address
Does Rat Republic store my generated private key?
No. Generation runs entirely in your browser using a Web Worker. No keypair data is ever sent to a server.
Is a vanity address as secure as a regular address?
Yes. The cryptographic security of a Solana keypair is determined by the entropy used to generate it — not by what the public key looks like. A vanity address is as secure as any other properly generated keypair.
What Base58 characters are valid?
Valid characters: 123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz. The four excluded characters are 0 (zero), O (capital o), I (capital i), and l (lowercase L) — they're removed to avoid visual confusion.
Why is generation slow on my phone?
Mobile CPUs are significantly slower than desktop CPUs for this type of computation. For anything longer than 3 characters, a desktop or laptop is recommended.
PFP Generator
What is the PFP Generator?
The PFP Generator lets you create a custom Rat Republic-themed avatar by mixing and matching trait layers. Download your creation and use it as your profile picture anywhere.
Are generated images stored on Rat Republic servers?
No. Images are composed and downloaded on your device. Nothing is uploaded to Rat Republic servers.
Token & NFT Burn
What happens to burned tokens on-chain?
The token balance is permanently reduced to zero and the account is closed. The token mint's total supply decreases by the burned amount, visible on any Solana explorer. This is a native Solana instruction — there is no way to reverse it.
Can I accidentally burn a valuable token?
The tool displays the token name, symbol, balance, and image (from Metaplex metadata) before you select anything. A separate confirmation modal requires an explicit acknowledgment before the transaction is signed. Always review carefully.
Why do NFTs recover significantly more SOL than regular tokens?
NFTs have two additional on-chain accounts that regular tokens don't: a Metaplex metadata account (~0.012 SOL, stores name/symbol/URI/creators) and a Master Edition account (~0.003 SOL, stores edition and supply data). Burning an NFT closes all three accounts and returns the full ~0.017 SOL.
Does burning an NFT remove it from marketplaces?
Yes. Once burned, the NFT's on-chain data is destroyed. It will no longer appear in your wallet, on marketplaces, or in any explorer. Listings may need time to update, but the NFT itself is gone permanently.
